Welcome to Daily Dicas — practical tips for living better in the space you already have.
Who’s Behind This Site?
Hi, I’m Daniel Carter — a designer and chronic over-thinker based in Chicago, living in a one-bedroom apartment that I’ve slowly learned to love. A few years ago, my place was cluttered, stressful, and anything but inspiring. I spent more time looking for things than actually using them.
The turning point came when I realized that the problem wasn’t the size of my apartment — it was the amount of stuff in it, and the lack of any real system to manage it. I started decluttering, reorganizing, and building simple routines that actually stuck. The difference was immediate and, honestly, a little life-changing.
Daily Dicas started as a way to document what worked — and what didn’t. It’s grown into a practical guide for anyone living in a small space who wants their home to feel calmer, more functional, and more like them.
